Siccuth

Siccuth
This is the reading in some English versions (e.g. RV) at Amos 5:26, following a mistake in the Hebrew text for Sakkuth, a Mesopotamian stardeity; the idols of Sakkuth and Kaiwan were being carried in processions in syncretistic worship, which the prophet condemns. These gods were connected with the planet Saturn.
